“Voting rights, vote suppression, and voter fraud have dominated the debate about the right to vote in Florida in recent years. In the case of Shelby County v. Holder, the Supreme Court recently ruled that one section of the Voting Rights Act is no longer enforceable. What effect does the decision have in Central Florida? How does it impact the pending suit against the Orange County Commission districts? What is the future of minority voter protections in Florida? Come and engage in a discussion led by Juan Cartagena, President & General Counsel of Latino Justice PRLDEF, on these important issues and their impact on the Puerto Rican and Hispanic vote.”
