Join Orange Democrats we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and take a look at a few civil rights issues of present day.Guest panelists will include Attorney Mary Meeks, Sister Ann Kendrick from the Hope CommUnity Center, the Orlando Chapter of the National Action Network President Temia Brinson, and ACLU Representative John “Jack” Jordan. The discussion will be about current matters and recent victories surrounding the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), the Voting Rights Act of 1965, Immigration Reform, and Disability Laws.This event will take place in the Rollins College Faculty Club room.FACEBOOK RSVP
