Have you thought of running for elected office?
- Been told by friends “You should run for office”?
- Run in the past and might again?
- Planning an upcoming campaign?
- Or just wondering what running for office is all about?
If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, one or both of these sessions is for you.
“You Should Run” Workshop: On Sunday afternoon, April 21, join other progressive, pro-choice, Democratic women to discuss why they ran for office and you can, too. This interactive session will help you ask your questions, find the best race you can win, prepare you to run, and help you chart a path for success. Even if you decide you are not yet ready to run for office, this session will help you grow your network and leadership skills. 2:00 to 5:30pm; location in Orange County to be announced. Click here to register.
“Candidates & Campaign Training”: On Friday, May 17, join EMILY’s List and Ruth’s List Florida for a lively day covering everything you need to know to launch your winning campaign for elected office. Our lead trainer, Heather Kashner of EMILY’s List, is dynamic, thorough, and great fun. Ruth’s List’s own Ellis Robinson will be on hand to add Florida specifics. Plus, you will spend your day getting to know and sharing ideas with other great pro-choice Democratic women! This will be a chock-a-block full day. Please mark your calendar for Friday, May 17, from 8:30am to 5:30pm. We also recommend you attend the “YOU Should Run” workshop above, or another near you in advance. Location in St. Petersburg to be announced. Click here to register.
Ruth’s List Florida trainings are open to pro-choice Democratic women considering running for state or local office. We encourage you to bring a friend or team member to share the learning. (Male members of your campaign team are welcome to attend.) More details will follow, once you register online. Space is limited, so register now by clicking the link(s) above.
