TALLAHASSEE — Florida Democratic hopes for gaining ground in the Legislature may turn on how well Maitland teacher Karen Castor Dentel fares in her challenge to incumbent Rep. Scott Plakon, R-Longwood, for the newly drawn House District 30 seat.
