Forty  Hispanic community leaders, including several from Central Florida, had honorary remarks entered into the Congressional Record by U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Orlando, and will be further honored at a reception with the Congressman Sunday in Kissimmee.

Grayson will meet with the local leaders Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m., at The Old Osceola Courthouse, 2 Courthouse Square #2000.

THe honorees include local leaders such as Jonathan Evans, Luis Patrana, Melissa Maniau and Betsy Franceschini; national and international figures such as U.S. Supreme Court JusticeSonia Sotomayor; and historic figures such as Juan Ponce de Leon.

Grayson’s District includes Kissimmee, as well as most of eastern Orange County, the centers of Central Florida’s Hispanic community. He is running for re-election next November.
