President Barack Obama arrived in Orlando Sunday evening in preparation for his rally with former president Bill Clinton at the University of Central Florida, and on the way to the hotel swung by the main Orlando office of the Obama For America / Organize For America campaign on East Colonial Drive.

Obama came in carrying pizzas to thank the staff and volunteers. He then spent a few minutes making phone calls to thank and encourage other volunteer leaders around Florida.

The president arrived around 8:45 p.m. and found about 30 volunteers and staff at work on the phones when he arrived at the second-floor walk-up in a small office building at 1516 E. Colonial, about a mile east of downtown Orlando.

He came in carrying six large pizzas from Anthony’s Pizzeria, a popular restaurant about a block away.

“I brought some pizza! You guys look hungry. You’ve worked so hard,” Obama said. “How’s it going everybody? Stay on the phone!”
