Congressional candidate Val Demings comes out swinging against incumbent U.S. Rep. Dan Webster in two new TV spots launched today in Florida’s 10th Congressional District.

The campaign ads slam Webster for:

  • Office renovations when he became Florida House speaker in 1996 that added a lounge within the speaker’s suite. The lounge was meant for lobbyists who were former legislators, and included a phone and television.
  • A high-dollar fundraiser earlier this year at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, where Webster was one of a dozenRepublican House freshman to mingle with donors.
  • Distributing a “watchlist” of critics who disrupted one of his town-hall meetings last year.

The two 30-second spots, are called “Praised” and “Watchlist,” share some of the same messaging.
