Right-wing mega-donors have ratcheted up their efforts in Florida and are now pouring money and TV attacks ads into the state in an attempt to defeat Bill Nelson.

No sooner had the ink dried on casino magnate Sheldon Adelson’s $1 million check to Connie Mack IV’s SuperPAC this past week than the so-called “Americans For Progress” — a tea-party front group bankrolled by the Koch Brothers, two of the biggest funders of right-wing causes — launched their own $1 million wave of attack ads targeting Bill.

The Koch Brothers’ new ads began flooding Florida’s airwaves yesterday.

Before the Koch Brothers, it was Adelson. Before Adelson it was Karl Rove. And don’t forget the TV ads from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce & the so-called “60-Plus Association” too.

These GOP mega-donors and their shadowy right-wing front groups are coming after Bill Nelson with everything they’ve got, and they’re not going to let up until the votes are counted on Election Day.

These guys have the deepest of deep pockets. They are the reason Republican extremists in Washington refuse to compromise, and if they buy this election, they’ll have another senator willing to do whatever they say.
